Sat 07 Nov - The Wedding Reception
Yvonne managed to get her sari back on with Glenn’s help with a minor adjustment of wearing the under blouse the correct way around. Yvonne discovered at the Ceremony yesterday I was in fact wearing the blouse back to front! The heavily embellished details are to be shown on the back! So dressed correctly we headed off to the Four Seasons 5* hotel for the Wedding Reception. Cocktails on the lawns around cascading water features and meeting up with the family and friends again. Nearly all of the young women were wearing saris tonight and many of the men were wearing traditional outfits even down to the pointed and turned up shoes. It was sparkles all the way. We caught up with Mia again who was looking stunning and she introduced her Lebanese boyfriend who was also looking great in his long coat and turned up shoes. He strongly suggested we took some time to visit Beirut on our travels, so we may well be fortunate to meet them both again.
The formal reception was held in the Ballroom. The tables were beautiful with plenty of fresh flowers and a fresh rose for everyone to wear Hawaiian style in the hair of course. Before the meal their were plenty of speeches from friends and family and Kusum’s sister, brothers in law and Kusum’s girlfriends treated us to some well rehearsed Indian dancing. Kusum’s father made a moving speech thanking his Doctor and Nurses who had travelled with them to enable him to travel following his major eye operation only 2 weeks earlier. Family members visited every table to speak with the guests and made sure everything was going to plan.
The food and service was stunning. We danced the night away along with many new found friends. One couple offered to take our photo and remarked “you’re travelling the world aren’t you, please come and stay with us in Singapore”. So we certainly hope we can connect up with them via Satya and Kusum when they drift down from their marriage and honeymoon highs.
We got home in the early hours of the morning, both commenting what a fantastic 3 day event this Wedding had been. Really, so much fun, many happy memories and meeting so many interesting people from around the World.

What a fabulous experience for you both. I laughed at Glen's blouse being on the wrong way round. Reminded me of a low plunging dress I tried on once which I assumed was the front. When I got stuck and could not get it back off again and had to shout for HELP..... the store assistant informed me that the plunge was the back!
