The long road home

Sun 17 Jul 2016 - Mobile Safari Day 7: Return drive to Maun

Showered and ready for the 0630 departure Lets and KB had pulled down the sides to the safari truck to keep us warm as the journey today was going to be a fast one with the whole route of 700 km on tarmac roads. Snuggled in our early morning safari layers we drove off south watching the sun rise but giving little warmth in our compartment. Lets would be driving for 8 hours today only to stop briefly at Nata where they both picked up some goodies for the rest of the 300 km driving west to Maun and back to Audi camp arriving at 2.30pm to say our farewells to them both and thank them for an outstanding experience of wild camping and game viewing in Botswana.
